How I found the Mother series.

My first exposure to the Mother series was in 2011. Back then, I used to watch MatPat very regularly.

One day,he made a video called "Earthbound, the darkest game in the Mother series" or something like that.

I watched the video and came to the conclusion that this "Earthbound" game was very cool. But back then,I didn't have any interest to actually play the game though.

In 2015, when Undertale came out and everyone started talking about it and the games that influenced it, i was reintroduced to an "old friend".

Being a bit older and being familiar with emulators, I decided it was time to actually play Earthbound. Sadly, I didn't get too far into the game. I think I stopped playing around Twoson.

In 2018, the Angry Video Game Nerd, another youtuber that i used to watch, made his own video about Earthbound. This time, the video resonated with me so much that I went out and brought an SNES Mini to play Earthbound on it.

So I played Earthbound. As expected, I liked it. I liked Earthbound so much, that I decided to play the other 2 games in the series.

I then played Mother 3, because I had heard that the first game in the Mother series hadn't aged particularly well. After beating Mother 3, I played Mother 1.

Well, i didn't exactly play Mother 1. I played Mother 1+2, the GBA port. That's because that one had a translation made by Tomato, a very known and respected figure in the Mother community. Not only that, but that version also had some cool features, such as the Easy ring.

I decided to replay the Mother trilogy this year and to make things different,i decided to play the original, NES version of Mother 1, something that i had not done before.
